Interview: Andria Rose Discusses New Single "Tomorrow" + Our Review of Single
Oneul Zine got the amazing opportunity to interview the talented singer/song-writer, Andria Rose, to discuss her new single "Tomorrow" featuring singer Quelle Rox, which released today (May 29th).
Hey Andria, we are so excited to interview you today about your new single "Tomorrow"! We will start by introducing yourself.
My name is Andria Rose and I'm what you call a velvety dream-pop artist from San Antonio, Texas.
How would you describe your music style ?
My music is very dreamy, with hints of jazz and psychedelia. I would like to say it’s very chill and I’ve been told it’s very calming. I’ve even had one fan tell me “it’s like a breath of fresh air”, and I just love that. I aim to put my listeners at ease.
What inspired you to create this single ?
The concept started out as a daydream. Since we’ve all been cooped up inside for quite some time now, I wanted to capture those inward feelings in a song. I’m sure many people may feel low or long for what things were like prior to the pandemic. And those feelings are completely valid. I wanted my listeners to know that- that it’s ok to feel what they are feeling. Everybody’s perspective on all of this is different, and that’s ok too. This is why I reached out to my new friend Quelle Rox to hop on the song and give her perspective of things as well. I wanted everything to be as organic as possible.
What do you want listeners to feel after listening to your new single?
I want them to feel validated and not alone in their emotions.
Do you think your music has changed compared to your last release ?
I think so. It’s a different feel. My last release was a more light-hearted, feel-good song. This one has a different tone. Perhaps a bit of a darker one. I constantly feel like I am evolving as a songwriter as well. I think this single is maybe a little more complex than the last. Which is good!
What is your typical songwriting process like?
I either go very inward or outward for my lyrics. For this track, I went inward. I tapped into feelings I’ve been feeling for a while now and utilized them. For other songs, I go outward. I look to things around me to inspire.
Are you working on any new projects at the moment ?
Yes, my boyfriend Bryan (who is also in my band and helps me produce all my music) and I are working on some new songs and a new EP. Release dates for new material haven’t really been set, though! We’re taking it day by day at the moment.
What excites you the most about the future ?
Gaining new fans is very exciting to me. I am so grateful that my numbers seem to keep going up. I know numbers are not everything, but it’s pretty reassuring to know I am on the right track. Gaining new fans brings more opportunities in regards to places to play shows. I’m excited to tour when things (hopefully) go back to normal.

REVIEW OF "TOMORROW"
The new single "Tomorrow" is definitely worth listening to any day and anytime. With its soft beats and vibey feel, it makes you be in a good mood. The song gives bits of mysterious vibes which I personally love. The duo's voices matches a lot as well, with Quelle's high voice and Andria's lower tone. We would definitely want to see more works featuring those two. In conclusion the song "Tomorrow" is one of our new favorites! I think that these artists are extremely talented and underrated.
